Jaybird got his first starter herd from BC Sheep Company's dispersal. The flock included four ewes with pedigrees including NOC, Flanders VIP and Farris. The ram, Pistol Pete, is out of an NOC ewe and their stud ram, Willie. The addition of four lamb ewes and an additional ram have Jaybird a great start to his club lamb project.
Gracie is a 2018 ewe out of Bell Ringer. She was shown to a Top 15 place at the Fort Worth Stock Show by her junior handler.
She was bred by the NOC Sheep Center in Tonkawa, OK.
We just love the stregnth and style of this 2020 beauty. Nickels was bred by Nickles Show Stock and placed first in her class at the Break Out Show/Sale. Nickels is by Upper Management and out of Miller Y-754 (Midas).
Fiona is the friendliest ewe. Her length of body and breed characteristics make her a barn favorite. Fiona is the mother to Wicked Tuna.
She is a daughter of New Age out of Flanders VIP 2604.
Gabbie came to us via Johnson Family Show Stock. She is by Gustavo and out of JFSS 7175, a full sibling to SAFfire, Champion Hamp Ewe at All American, Louisville, and the Ohio State Fair Grand. Gabbie is from the same flush as the $4750 Cinco de Mayo buck and Dynamite Diva. Here is a video of her selling at the Breakout Show/Sale.
Sophia is the dam of Pistol Pete. She is built like a Dutch cook, and has the temperment of Mother Theresa. Sophia is from the NOC Sheep Center's breeding program. By Miller O-456 out of Northern Oklahoma 23-9-4070.
This little girl was Katherine's favorite at the sale. They share the same birthday. She comes from Johnson Family Show Stock and just has an elegance about her visible at such a young age. Her sire is Tuco and out of Tim Lam P1724 (Doc x Outlaw).
Another elegant young ewe from Johnson Family Show Stock. We sure have been fortunate to add this set to Jaybird's new endeavour. See Tinkerbell here from the Breakout Show/Sale.
Agnes is an aged registered Hamshire ewe with a beautiful blue color and markings that make us question her parentage. However, we LOVE Miss Agnes and her sassy ways here at the farm. I am told GeneChec will be able to parentage verify sheep this fall. Miss Agnes will be first in line!
